Ten years have passed since the summer when Taichi met Agumon and the other Digimon, and where they had incredible adventures in the digital world. Taichi is now a student, while Yamato and his companions have entered the workforce.
Several inexplicable incidents are happening all over the world and elected children around the world are losing consciousness.
Menoa and his assistant Imura – two academics whose fields of research are the Digimon – enlist Taichi and his friends to try to unravel these mysterious phenomena. They explain to them that Eosmon, an unknown Digimon, would be at the origin of all these incidents.
Together, they decide to unite their strength to face him in a terrible battle. But the outcome of the fight reveals a truth that’s hard to admit: when a chosen child becomes an adult, his partner Digimon disappears … The threat continues to spread and soon affects Taichi’s close friends.
The latter will then find himself confronted with the worst dilemma: choosing between his friends and his Digimon. Should he save his friends, at the risk of losing his partner Digimon, his dearest companion?
